Reliance BIG TV is entering into a strategic marketing alliance with Fox Star Studios for the India release of James Cameron’s Avatar.
Reliance BIG TV will showcase exclusive interviews with Cameron and the stars of Avatar as well as exclusive videos of Behind-The-Scenes of the film. As part of the tie-up, Reliance BIG TV is creating a new TVC with the visual imagery from Avatar. The 30 seconds TVC is made in English and expected to go on air across 12 English channels that include Times Now, AXN, Star World, Star Movies, Channel V, and HBO among others from 15 December. Reliance BIG TV will be running a month long 360 degree integrated marketing campaign across all India.

Anil Ambani‘s direct-to-home company, Reliance BIG TV, has formed a marketing alliance with Fox STAR Studios for its forthcoming movie, Avatar. The deal, according to source, has been struck for Rs 20 crore.
Avatar is an epic 3D fiction movie which has taken James Cameron almost four years to make. Fox STAR Studios is releasing the movie worldwide.
The alliance comprises of BIG TV getting the first telecast rights of exclusive promotions for direct-to-home (DTH) platforms, creating a TVC (television content rating) with the cast of Avatar, introducing special zones across its multiplexes to experience the film. BIG TV will also run a pan-India marketing campaign for which the company will spend Rs 5 crore.

Reliance BIG TV has entered into a tie-up with UTV Productions to showcase Wake Up Sid on its PPV platform. According to the tie-up, UTV Productions has offered Reliance BIG TV the DTH rights for Wake Up Sid for a period of four weeks. The agreement is signed on a revenue sharing basis. Reliance BIG TV will offer Wake Up Sid on its PPV platform from November 20, 2009 onwards. It will offer the movie on a 24-hour PPV access for Rs 100 only.
