The Matheran police on Saturday afternoon booked Nita Ambani’s driver for allegedly violating the stringent Environment Protection Act in Matheran by entering an area prohibited for vehicles.
According to the statement given by her driver, Ambani was travelling in the car – A Honda CRV – when he entered the restricted zone. The police have booked the driver – Sudhir Shinde, under section 15 of the Act, apart from slapping some sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Most evenings at the London School of Economics (LSE), hordes of students and serious visitors crowd into varied lecture halls to listen to everyone from Nobel laureates to writers and politicians. Friday night, a scurrying student gives directions, “Oh, you mean that lecture by the wife of the richest man in India? It’s that way.”
The 230-seater Hong Kong theatre at LSE’s Clement House is, for a change, stuffed more with Armanis and Jamevars than student backpacks. London’s British Asian and Indian high society have turned out in strength, including the likes of High Commissioner Nalin Surie and Rajesh Shah of Mukand, to listen to Nita Ambani giving her first public lecture in the hallowed halls of the London School of Economics.
