120 lose jobs as BPO shuts on Reliance pullback

It was a bolt from the blue for 120 employees of FCS Software Solutions Ltd when the company sacked its entire workforce in Chennai. The move came after its client, Reliance, reportedly stopped outsourcing its business as a cost cutting measure. Reliance Web World will now do the work, the employees were told.

Reliance Globalcom, a provider of enterprise, wholesale, consumer, and managed services, has appointed Mandeep Bhatia as the business head of its National Long Distance (NLD). Mandeep joins Reliance Globalcom from Bharti Airtel where he was leading the consumer mobile business as the COO for Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa regions. In his new role Mandeep will report to Punit Garg, president and CEO of Reliance Globalcom.

Reliance Telecom faces security staff turmoil over job layoffs

Reliance Telecom’s decision to cut down the number of security personnel for guarding the mobile towers in North Bengal has reportedly initiated anger among the security guards under the North Bengal Tower Security Guard and Employees’ Welfare Association (NBTSGEA), who as a revolt to this decision tried to switch off one of the tower of the company.
