Reliance TimeOut, the books, magazine and music specialty store of Reliance Retail ‘fired’ up Christmas eve at its first outlet in Mumbai at the Lower Ground floor, Reliance Trends Building, Hill Road, next to Elco market, Bandra (W). Promoting his film ‘FIRED’, the critically acclaimed actor Rahul Bose led a panel discussion on the horrors of getting ‘fired’ and the difficult task of firing people.

The discussion panel included young men and women who have personally faced the hard effects of losing their jobs due to recession or have experienced the brutality of point-blank firing a colleague and how they fought the bad times and emerged more successful in their lives.

Reliance Retail to open 45 Reliance TimeOut stores by Dec 2014

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Retail Ltd plans to open a total of 45 stores of its books and music retailing business - Reliance TimeOut - across India over the next three to five years.

The multi-format retailer, which operates seven stores of TimeOut, said it wants to tap India’s Rs 3,500-crore book retailing industry, of which only 40 per cent is organised.

In the next 3-5 years (or December 2014), we will have a total of 45 TimeOut outlets across four states - mainly in western and southern India. Our strategy is to first saturate a town, then a state followed by the entire region, Reliance Retail, Business Head, Reliance TimeOut, Deepinder Kapany told PTI.

Reliance Retail plans to open 85 jewellery stores in 3 years

Reliance Retails Ties Up With Timberland

Reliance Brands, a part of Reliance Retail, Nov 30 said it has joined hands with US-based Timberland to distribute the latter’s footwear and apparel in the country.

Reliance Retail plans stores opening in Eastern India

Reliance Retail Limited that runs around 590 stores across 57 cities in India is planning to expand its business in the country especially in West Bengal.

We are currently working on how best we can come back to the state in a major way. It’s all currently on the drawing board, Mr. Tarun Jhunjhunwala, President, Reliance Industries told reporters in West Bengal state capital Kolkata this week.

We have exhausted the space for our Reliance Fresh format and so if we plan to expand this format, we have to buy real estate, Jhunjhunwala added.
