Reliance Communication RCom, a telecom service provider in India have come up with a new tablet PC and its will be the first CDMA based tablet to be made available in India. The trends of post paid carrier lock smartphones and tablets is been introduced for the very first time in India.
RCom after is big jump into quick launch of Reliance 3G tablet when 3G was newly launched. But with that price tag to it and its competitor coming out with a cheaper tablet version its didn’t get much success. Much thanks to Aakash which spoiled the market completely.

RCom’s first CDMA tablet available in RCom stores from today
CDMA tablet has 7-inch capacitive touch screen with Android 2.3 OS, 512 MB RAM and a micro SD external storage.
Reliance Communications‘ (RCom) Android 2.3 based CDMA tablet, which is priced attractively at Rs 12,999, will be available in Rworld stores from today.
“RCom’s CDMA tablet will be available in Rworld stores from today and the special introductory tariff plan introduced with the tablet will be only for post subscribers,” an RCom spokesperson told The Mobile Indian.

With this launch, Reliance also emerges as the first telecom operator in India to offer Tablets on both the 3G and CDMA networks.

Reliance Communications unveils CDMA tablet @ Rs 12,999
Reliance on Monday launched the CDMA Tab, a 7-inch version of its GSM tablet that hit the market last year. The tablet has a capacitive screen and runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
Reliance said the tablet would be supported by the company’s CDMA network across 22 circles in over 1000 towns in the country. The device is priced at Rs 12,999.

RIL to start 4G trials in Jamnagar soon
Mukesh Ambani’s next big idea — rollout of commoditised fourth-generation 4G telecom services across the country — is taking concrete shape.
After announcing last month that Nagpur would be a hub for its 4G operations, trials are set to begin for services at Reliance Industries’ (RIL) massive complex in Jamnagar next month, in a pilot before the project is escalated nationwide.
An RIL spokesperson refused to comment.
The megacorp is expected to begin rolling out services using the ultra-fast Long Term Evolution or LTE technology.
