Reliance Industries drops GI tag bid for K-G, Jamnagar gas
Reliance Industries Ltd has withdrawn applications to register the terms, Jamnagar and Krishna Godavari, as geographical indication (GI) tags for its petro products.
The Mukesh Ambani-led RIL had sought the GI tag for five products, four with a prefix of Jamnagar and one for Krishna Godavari Gas.
The company has now withdrawn its applications for four products, including Jamnagar Petrol, Jamnagar Fuel, Jamnagar LPG and Jamnagar Diesel, while request for the registration of Krishna Godavari Gas has been abandoned, a senior official from Chennai-based Geographical Indication Registry told PTI.

Reliance BIG TV announces new package for South region
Reliance BIG TV today announced a new package during the festive season for South market at Rs 2590 with more channels and choices. It said in a statement that it had loaded ‘base packs’ with popular content and added 22 new linear TV channels on its platform. New regional channels have been introduced in South regional packs including UsheTV (Kannada), AdityaTV (Tamil) and GCV (Telugu).

Reliance Life Insurance awaits government approval for IPO
Reliance Life Insurance plans to launch an initial public offering (IPO), if it gets government approval. It plans to divest 20% in IPO after getting government nod, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting Dow Jones.
The company had approached the Finance Ministry seeking permission to launch an initial public offering (IPO). Under the current regulations, a company cannot list unless it has been in existence for 10 years — except in case of the central government’s permission.

Reliance Capital plans Rs 100-cr ESOP for senior employees
Reliance Capital, the financial services company of the Anil Ambani group, has decided to dole out stock options worth Rs 100 crore to senior employees, said a person privy to the development.
The Reliance Capital board approved the employee stock option plan on Tuesday. The plan would cover nearly 500 employees. The employee stock option plan is viewed as an attractive retention strategy and also to be utilised to attract new talent to the company. It will also be an integral part of aggregate compensation for top management team, the same person said, requesting anonymity.
