Nita Ambani, the wife of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, is here to support her cricket team Reliance 1.
The team is playing in the ongoing J P Atray Tournament.
Addressing the media, Nita Ambani said she was happy to meet and support the players of her team.

I am happy to be here in Chandigarh to support the Reliance 1 team playing in the J P Atray Tournament. I must compliment Atray for hosting this tournament for the last 16 years, she said.

Reliance GSM mobile offers STV 18

Reliance Communications, the number one network of the country has introduced a special tariff voucher for its GSM for only Rs 18 with lifetime validity and tariff validity of one year.

According to Servesh Mathur, CEO, MP Circle, Reliance Communications, once a customer recharges with STV 18, the call charges for calls made from RTL to RTL (Reliance GSM to Reliance GSM) will be as low as 0.30 p per minute between 6am to 10pm and even lower, at just 0.10p (ten paise) per minute between 10pm to 6 am. Further the calls made to any other network will be charged at Rs 0.60 p (Sixty paise) per minute and for STD it will be Rs 1.20. The STV comes with lifetime validity with a tariff validity of one year.

Rel Life Insurance targets indian rural mart

After growing its life insurance business at above average growth rate in the last three years, ADA Group is now entering the rural market in a big way.

Reliance Life Insurance is targeting about Rs 500 crore of new premium from rural areas over the next three years, compared to just about Rs 10 crore now. The group is also on track to infuse additional equity capital into its life business, taking the total equity base of Reliance Life to over Rs 3,000 crore from Rs 2,700 crore now, said Sam Ghosh, CEO, Reliance Capital, which is the parent company for ADAG’s life insurance business.

Reliance Life Insurance IPO may get delayed

The insurance regulator, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority or IRDA, said initial public offering or IPO approvals would not be on case-to-case basis. In other words, it clearly indicates that the IPO of Reliance Life Insurance is likely to get delayed, media reports said.

Reliance Life Insurance IPO will have to wait for some time, as it has not completed ten years of operations as of now. Besides, there is lack of clarity in terms of the Insurance Acts, specifying that company can list after ten years, but there is a lot of ambiguity on what will happen before that.

The best paid individuals in the country are promoters of their respective companies, says a survey by SundayET. The list of highest salary-earners is led by Anil Ambani, the head of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, who draws a salary of over Rs 30 crore per annum. Flanking the junior Ambani at the top are Malvinder Mohan Singh of Ranbaxy who later sold the company to Daiichi and chairman of telecom giant Bharti Airtel, Sunil Bharti Mittal.

KG D-6 gas output may be over 4 times the estimate

The D-6 fields of Reliance Industries in the Krishna-Godavari (KG) Basin have the potential to produce gas that is over four times the estimated peak output of 80 million cubic metres a day (mmscmd).

VK Sibal, director general, directorate-general of hydrocarbons, told Business Standard, The 50 wells in D-6 were earlier estimated to produce a total of 80 mmscmd gas (at the rate of 1.6 mmscmd per well). However, each well can produce about 6 to 7 mmscmd, so you can estimate the potential. Sibal said that the government was usually conservative in approving the proven reserves as the exact potential could be ascertained only after actual production starts.

Global companies eye Reliance Power mining equipment order

Six global equipment manufacturers —P and H and Caterpillar from the US, Komatsu from Japan, Belaz from Belarus, Uralmash from Russia and Taiyuan Heavy from China — are in the race to secure a contract for supplying large mining equipment to Reliance Power’s Sasan ultra mega power project (UMPP).

The company is expected to finalise the mega order worth over Rs 2,000 crore for mining equipment like draglines, electric shovels, off-highway haul trucks within a fortnight, to kickstart coal mining operations in captive blocks, allotted for the 4,000-mw project, said a source privy to the development.
