Anil Ambani visits Meenakshi temple
Industrialist Anil Ambani along with his mother Kokila Ben Ambani offered prayers in Meenakshi Sundareswar Temple here on Sunday.
Temple Trust Chairman Karumuttu T Kannan received Anil and his mother. Both offered prayers at Amman Sannadhi, Swami Sannadhi, Mukkuruni Vinayagar Sannadhi and Navagraha Sannadhi and offered special poojas. Later, they headed to Rameswaram by helicopter. The police had intensified the security in the temple due to his visit.
Visits Rameswaram: He visited Rameswaram to perform rituals for his departed ancestors. He had arrived at Mandapam on Sunday by a helicopter from Madurai with his mother and some relatives. He performed rituals for his departed ancestors at Sankara Mutt. The mutt priests, including Sundaram Vathiyar, were chanting Vedas. He went to Ramanathaswamy temple to offer prayers.
He had brought the holy Ganga water in different brass pots and abhishegam was held to Lord Ramanathaswamy. He returned to Madurai by a helicopter.
