Reliance BIG TV has bought the DTH rights for the Pakistani movie Khuda Kay Liye from Percept Picture Company.
Reliance BIG TV will be screening the movie on its Pay Per View (PPV) channels. The movie has been directed by Shoaib Mansoor and stars Naseeruddin Shah.
The DTH sector and film producers are upbeat about Pay-Per-View emerging as a significant contributor to revenues, with an expanding subscriber base and growing popularity of PPV movies. Going forward, the pay-per-view platform will be a key stream for film makers to generate revenues apart from releases in theatres. Film makers have already started cashing on the PPV platform to air movies immediately within weeks after theatrical release, said Reliance Communications president Mahesh Prasad.
Reliance BIG TV has priced the film at Rs 25 and will be available from 3 August.
