Reliance launches GSM mobile services in Tamil Nadu
Reliance Communications has launched GSM services covering over 1,500 towns across Tamil Nadu. The service initially will cover Tiruchi, Tirunelveli, Salem, Vellore, Madurai, Erode and Thanjavur districts.
The company launched its GSM service in the State with a first-of-its-kind Customer Experience Programme. Customers choosing Reliance Mobile GSM services can avail a unique plan, which offers up to 100 per cent savings to customers having ARPU less than Rs.150 in the State at a one-time subscription charge (including GSM SIM) of Rs.25 only.
Along with full talk time on the First Recharge, the plan offers additional Rs.450 worth of talk time on local calls and SMS to any network. Customers choosing the Customer Experience Programme could make unlimited local calls between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. to any Reliance CDMA and GSM mobiles in Tamil Nadu.
Customers could also use a variety of Top-Up cards starting from Rs.10 to make calls and SMS over and above the free talk time provided. The Customer Experience Programme, Reliance Mobile GSM’s first offering, is in line with the company’s philosophy of making world-class telephony services accessible and affordable to the masses, V.G. Somasekhar, Regional Head – Tamil Nadu and Kerala Circles, Reliance Communications said in a press release.
