Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) will invest a whopping sum of Rs 40,000 crore in power sector, cement industry, cargo handling airport and technical institute in Madhya Pradesh.
“We will invest Rs 40,000 crore in MP,” Reliance ADAG senior vice president Shekhar Singh, who was here today to participate in a review meeting organised by government to assess the industrial investments status in state, told media.
“The state government was working honestly to attract investments in MP,” he remarked.
He said that his group had already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the MP government in regard to investments during the investors’ meets organised in the state in last couple of years.
“We are going to commission Utra Mega Power Station to generate 3960 mega watt (mw) electricity and a cargo handling airport both at Sasan area in Sidhi district,” Singh added.
“Our company is going to invest in another mega thermal power station at Chitrangi tehsil in Sidhi district and four cement manufacturing plants with a capacity of around five million ton per year in Katni and Satna districts,” he said.
“Besides we are going to open a Technical Institute in Bhopal,” he said.
Singh said that Reliance ADAG will invest Rs 16000 crore in the Sasan Utra Mega Power Project that will come up in an area of 4043 hectares at Sidhi.
Reliance ADAG has already acquired 63 hectares of land for this project. The state government has allotted us land to set up the Technical Institute in Acharpura, Bhopal, Singh said.
