Chevron set to drop stake in Reliance Petroleum
As per Reuters report, Chevron is all but certain to pass up its option to take a nearly one-third stake in the 
world’s biggest new refinery in India, as the dawning of a global recession darkens the outlook for the industry’s margins.
The US oil major has until June to decide whether or not to increase the 5 percent share it bought in Reliance Petroleum, which is building the 580,000 barrel per day export-oriented refinery in Jamnagar. A Reliance group official said on Friday that the plant had already begun trial runs.

Reliance Life has big hiring plans. 2,500 managers, 90k advisers by March
As per ET report, Reliance Life Insurance is set to hire 2,500 managers, besides 90 thousand advisers in the next four months.
“We are planning to add close to 2,500 employees and 90,000 advisers by the end of March next year,” Reliance Life Insurance Chief Executive Officer P Nandagopal said.
Reliance Retail launches “Vision Express” Optical store
The 50:50 joint venture between Reliance Retail and Pearle Europe of the Netherlands, Vision Express, on Wednesday opened its first branded optical speciality store in Bangalore.
Vision Express CEO Jarek Widomski told reporters here that the chain had 2,000 stores across Europe and planned to have 60 to 70 stores in India within a year.
