Reliance Commnunications ties with Healthcare Magic to launch India’s first ‘doctor-on-call’ service

Reliance Commnunications, Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group company, has tied-up with Bangalore-based online medical consultancy Healthcare Magic to launch India’s first ‘doctor-on-call’ service for providing medical consultation and referrals.
The service will provide live consultation with doctors across the country. This tele-medicine initiative is expected to be launched by December.
RCOM’s strategic alliance with Healthcare Magic, a leading consumer healthcare company, will entail developing infrastructure and network as well as revenue sharing.
RCOM’s service will offer first level of diagnosis to call-in patients. The patient needs to continue being advised and visit his / her family doctor for final diagnosis after physical check up.
The service will be accessible through a Healthcare Magic Premium Number on Reliance Mobile World. The attending doctor will diagnose the calling patient’s problem to understand if it is acute, chronic or emergency condition.
The service is called “Doc on Call” service. This will be a paid service.The fee details for the services are not yet known. Healthcare Magic which services their clients through web, has 30 doctors and services about 3500 enquires each day. Online services are charged at 40/- per day or at an annual subscription of 600/-
