Bachchan family in mega deal with Reliance Big Entertainment

The Bachchan family has joined forces with the fast-growing entertainment arm of the conglomerate Reliance to produce movies, television shows and concerts.
Reliance Big Entertainment will provide between Rs 1000 crore to Rs 1500 crore to fund new ventures of the Bachchan family, which includes three of Bollywood’s biggest stars: Amitabh Bachchan, who in his 60s continues to be one of the country’s top box-office draws; his actor son, Abhishek; and Abhishek’s wife, Aishwarya Rai, one of India’s best-known female stars. Jaya Bhaduri, the matriarch of the family, is also a seasoned actress, who has appeared in several films in recent years.

Reliance deal moves ahead
